Bauernarchitektur. 1990-2005. Gelatin silver print, printed 2012. 18 x 24,2 cm (21,2 x 27,5 cm).
The German artist Claus Bury is one of the most important representatives of architectural sculpture. Using sketches, drawings and scale models, Bury develops his sculptures for urban and landscape spaces. Parallel to his sculptures, he has been taking architectural photographs for 20 years. During numerous trips through Europe, the USA and Egypt, Bury has found inspiration in the most diverse archetypes of architecture such as temples, pyramids, bridges and artfully stacked haystacks. – Light handling dent upper left, some puckering in lower edge in margin, mounting tape around edges on verso, otherwise in very good condition.
Provenance: Private collection, gift from the photographer.
