The actress Greta Garbo (1905-1990). 1946. Vintage gelatin silver print on doubleweight paper. 19,2 x 19 cm (25,3 x 20,2 cm). Signed by the photographer in ink in lower right corner in the margin. Hinge-mounted in mat.

A few small professionally retouched spots, a few smudge marks in lower margin, corners bumped, crease in lower right corner, slight buckling, otherwise in very good condition.

The actress Annabella (1907-1996). Circa 1938. Vintage gelatin silver print on doubleweight paper. 21,6 x 16 cm. Signed and annotated by the photographer in pencil and collection stamp on the verso.

The French born actress Suzanne Georgette Charpentier, later known as Annabella, had starred in several movies in France before going to Hollywood in 1937, where she appeared in films up into the 1950s. She married the actor Tyrone Power in 1939. – Traces of previous mounting on the verso, otherwise a fine tonal print in very good condition.
